The brainchild of fisherman, Ben Squire and hospitality expert Steve Page, The Hook & Line is a place to meet, eat and be merry! Situated on the beautiful, south west coast of Devon and with our own fishing boats, Sidney Rose, Elin D and Barbican Rose, our mission is to serve simply cooked, delicious seafood dishes.
Inside the Hook & Line, you'll discover a quirky, rustic interior with cosy booths. In homage to Plymouth's naval roots, we've created the city's first speciality Rum Bar. Steve's area of expertise, the bar, is the heart of The Hook & Line - with a carefully selected wine list, Perrier Jouët champagne, cocktails that are on point and our very own, signature ale, the Hook, Line & Sinker.

The Hook & Line is situated within Plymouth's iconic Royal William Yard, the City's coolest waterfront destination. We're just one of many reasons to visit the yard, you'll find other exciting independents here, including an exclusive fashion outlet, boutique hotel, wine specialist and aesthetics clinic.
Nestled at the heart of Royal William Yard, the marina offers short and long stay berthing and a regular ferry service to bring you to The Hook & Line from Plymouth's Barbican or Cremyll in South East Cornwall.
Royal William Yard offers an eclectic mix of seasonal events, from monthly food markets, theatre and outdoor cinema experiences to live music and circus performances - all set in the architecturally stunning surroundings of Grade 1 listed, ex naval buildings.
You can reach the Hook and Line from Plymouth City Centre, the historic Barbican and Cornwall, by ferry, bus or foot.
